CAV Media Studios Produces iPad Wine App Videos

CAV Media Studios has produced a series of video clips featuring vintners of Napa Valley for a new iPad application called “Hospitality Social”. CAV was chosen as the video production company to create HD video content by Jack and Nadine Serfass, the owners of this exciting new software.  “Hospitality Social” takes the Wine List into the 21st century. The Serfasses, owners of the famed Naples Tomatoes restaurants in Naples, Florida, have replaced their “paper” wine lists with an interactive restaurant menu featuring a digital sommelier. The rich content about each of the wines on their list includes complete wine data and video clips about the wines and winery.  “Hospitality Social” was introduced at the National Restaurant Association in Chicago on May 21st. The roll-out featured a stunning “video wall” comprised of 70 synced iPads playing the videos produced by CAV Media Studios.  The company website,  www.hospitalitysocial.com, highlights clips produced by CAV Media Studios of Jarvis Estates, Honig Vineyards, and Swanson Vineyards.  CAV President, Bob Burton personally directed the featured clips. Drawing from his extensive experience with producing winery videos, CAV has been contracted to continue to produce the highest quality HD video clips for inclusion in this groundbreaking software/application package.

CAV Media Video Studios Wraps "Angry Men"

CAV Media Studios, Napa's premier video production studio, announces completion of James Dalessandro and Ken Solin's reality series pilot, "Angry Men." The pilot was filmed in High Definition by CAV on location within Napa County as well as in CAV's new studio facilities at 1753 Tanen Street, Napa. CAV's president, Bob Burton, personally took major interest in the project, functioning as its producer. Dalessandro and Burton's previous collaboration resulted in a prestigious Aurora award for their documentary "The Damndest Finest Ruins," a video history of the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco. The new production features six men who intimately share their life stories with facilitator Solin and potentially millions of viewers. When asked about the finished product Burton said "This is the essence of reality television, these six men had never met each other until the day of the filming." The pilot is currently being viewed by networks in Hollywood and could be aired as early as this summer.

The first University, “The DJ Qbert Skratch School” is scheduled to launch in Early 2009.  This video-learning site will be subscription based and will be taught by DJ Qbert and some of his very famous associates.  After studying a series of skratching techniques from basic to exotic and beat juggling, students can then send in their own videos to Qbert who will respond by offering his personal guidance and suggestions. “There is no central place for far-flung Turntablists to gather, so this platform will provide those who want to learn with a great opportunity,” says David Butler, Founder and CEO of ArtistWorks, Inc.
